Beauty therapy

Hot stones. Cupping. Anointment. Now reiki? Has the beauty industry got a guru or something? Or has it gone gaga? Facials used to be made up of basic methods: cleansing and exfoliating, lifting and toning, masking and moisturizing. Now, it seems to have taken on a whole new life; aiming to not only decongest, but also detox and de-stress by aligning chakras and alleviating the build-up of bad moods. So next time your skin takes a turn for the worse think about targeting the problem in a new way. By all accounts you’ll end up feeling as pure and as calm as your skin.

Best of beauty

I’ve been a make-up artist for the better part of a decade now: working in the fashion industry, on television commercials, music video clips and as a beauty advisor. I'll be taking this opportunity to comment on beauty in a conventional sense but also discuss how it can be found in the everyday and the seemingly mudane.
