Bat for lashes

Take your cue from Dior’s spring/summer 09 collection (unwrapped and put on display only hours ago) and adorn your lids with a strip of faux lashes. Try #3 or #21 from the MAC range, or select a style from the plethora available at Shu Uemura. Apply them using a latex-based adhesive (Duo is the make-up artists’ product of choice) before topping them off with a slick of liquid liner. This step is crucial for first time “falsies” wearers; not only does it provide extra definition where you need it most but it hides all sorts of misdemeanors (you’ll soon see what I mean). Finally, complete your look with a heavy-duty mascara: Dior’s Show… naturally.

I’ve been a make-up artist for the better part of a decade now: working in the fashion industry, on television commercials, music video clips and as a beauty advisor.
