Life really isn’t fair, hey Susan Boyle. Even when you think you’ve made your lemons into lemonade someone always comes along with there delicious fruit cocktail full of antioxidants and beats you to the punch. I mean, there you are, a little old lady, mesmerizing people with your amazing voice, basking in reality TV’s spotlight and then along comes the Goddess that is Florence Welch with her long legs, peachy complexion, flame red hair and equally amazing voice. How are you meant to compete with that? How is anyone? Let’s get her.

No we can’t do that. She’s so cute I can’t even hate her. Plus not only does her singing voice make me want to roll up into the foetal position and weep but even her speaking voice is magical. Like an elf from Lord of the Rings. Such enchanting creatures.

Florence Welch’s voice may be the stuff of unicorns and angels but her style is equally as exquisite. The lead singer of Florence and The Machine stays true to eclectic British style by alternating between vintage lace Victorian dresses, sequinned party numbers and mod military blazers with the greatest of ease.

Working with stylist Aldene Johnson, Welch’s on stage persona ups the drama stakes with flowing fabrics and flared sleeves by designer labels such as Chanel or one off vintage finds. Off stage the flame haired beauty is a cross between fellow Brit Alexa Chung’s downtown cool and Stevie Nick’s whimsy.

Adding to the lead singer’s charm, Florence also seems to have a little bit of a habit for Elaine Benes styled socks with lace up shoes. Too cute.
