Sweet Jelly Roll

Tuesday, August 19, 2008
Oh, lawdy lawdy, o yes, it's back again. If you were at last month's Sweet Jelly Roll you'll know that this is not a night out for the timid. It's a raucous celebration of the spirit of the jukejoints and speakeasys of yesteryear, playing everything from doo-wop and surf to Vegas grind and down-and-dirty rhythm & blues. Dress up to the nines, and turn it up to eleven and steady yourself for this month's line up...

"An Evening with the McNutts" - Step back in time into the world of socialite couple, Beverley and Francis McNutt and watch in bemused horror as they prepare for a night out at their favourite dance party and spiral out of control in a whirlwind of prozac and gin before they even leave the house. This show starts at 9.30pm sharp so get down early to not miss this fabulous car crash of a performance.

Itsy Bitsy Rima returns to the stage to bedazzle us all with her shimmy and shakin' red hot bellydance show... a rare appearance and not to be missed!

Plus Miss Samantha Diamond and Ava Jinx "Turning the Lamps Down Low" and guest DJ's Dr No and Jim Dandy.

It's hot, it's loose, it's $10 bucks.
