The Scottish Land Surfer

Monday, August 11, 2008
The call him the Land Surfer. He is blessed with one of the best, loosest styles ever. He is the guy who can turn the dropping of a hat into a whole trick of it's own. Jamie Bolland is the name associated with this force in creativity, and he hails from near Aberdeen, Scotland. The kickflip pictured here is about 5 years old, and is ludicrous. This rail is a strapping beast of a steel menace, and the bank is gnarlier than a posse of twenty neds. Check Jamie’s sideways rolling steeze here in the Scot-cult classic “Hum’n Bam” (accompanied by some incredible German dancehall) and here is his part from Harmony's “Wolfstadt”. For those of you who don’t know, Jamie was also the keyboard player from of the late Glaswegian blues/rock group "Uncle John and Whitelock". I miss shredding Kelvingrove with you Jamie, hope all is good in the hood mate.
