Canberra's passion for fashion
Friday, May 09, 2008
Canberra fashion and style is not always easy to translate, interstate. It's all very soft-focus, ill-fitting, warehouse-sale chic. Probably its only problem is that it is too wearable for the everyday, you know? It’s too perfect for that in-between time, post 9am with David and Kim and pre Ready, Steady, Cook. Perfect for when you just need to run down to the shops and pick up some extra chicken stock for the risotto you’re making later that night. And if you’re going out on the town on a Saturday night, all you need to do is team your outfit with a spritz of something floral from the perfume counter at David Jones and your set. But, I don’t go out on a Saturday night anymore, The Bill is just too good. That Reg, honestly. Canberra just has that perfect mix of social, cultural and economic factors that lets you look savvy in all circles. It’s a healthy mix of administration and history that is simple, and for all seasons.

Change your shoes
I am Mick Dagger, I like gentle coral, walks in the rain and accessorising. I have a knack for all things fashion. I can style with sass and dress for dressage.
By the way, I can see you right now and I think you should change your shoes. You looked better yesterday.
