There's something tantalising about Tel Aviv fashion. There are rocking street fashion scenes everywhere from
Stockholm to
Melbourne, but there's something about the war-zone aspect that makes
the Tel Aviv thing so hot I want to move there. In the middle of a mentally-unstable region, the kids of this Israeli town continue to amaze with excellent outfits and well-thought-out street fashion.
Streetwalker, 21, has been capturing all the fashiony goodness and gives a nice commentary in Hebrew. Not sure if you can read it, but it looks good even if you can't.
Check out this hot guy. Who wouldn't want to live near him? We could have sushi and listen to bombs in Gaza then got to the beach. I have a great kosher bikini. We could pick up the lass pictured here and have a a couple of brews and smoke some. Don't blame me, it's what you do when there's a war on.
Tel Aviv street culture exists in some kind of bubble. Yet inside that bubble there seems to be a wealth of op shop gear, cheap plastic sunglasses and great accessories to pull together enough looks to fuel this
sartorialist-style blog.
Maybe these well-dressed peeps got their clothes from outside the bubble. Maybe in London. I met some very well-dressed Avivians there. In fact, like Aussies, people from this town love heading over to street fash heaven and shopping the arse out of E1.
