It was going to happen sooner or later. The perfect Chanel winter coat is spotted on Anna Wintour.
I spied this coat in the autumn winter 08 collection on the Paris runway and it instantly struck me as amazing, wearable and completely sell-my-apartment-for-able.
A coat by any other name would look as sweet. Swe-eee-eeet. It's got two of my favourite things going on - gold and eighties-esque diagonal. Jazzy.
A coat by any other name would be as practical. This little pup could be chucked over jeans and a T-shirt, or slipped over a little silky dress for the one night a year I go to the opera or ballet. Or, now my mind slips into gutter mode, this would look AMAZING over JUST KNICKERS! Imagine that *starts frothing at mouth falls to floor*.
I am only slightly saddened that I saw it on Wintour first. It would look better on Corinne, or someone like Dellal. I can just see it.
