My friend the Creep wears his hard-on on his sleeve. I wear my heart on mine in the traditional manner. As such, it is constantly getting broken - broken by beautiful, treacherous and wondrous things from all over the world. But what better way to live? The uneaxmined life and all that. I'd rather be a thousand shattered pieces of fabulousness than a bored unwordly chump in dullsville.

Things that break my heart with their genius and beauty this week mainly involve shoes. Something to do with having spent the last five days in a leaky boat with just one pair of Keds.

Heartbreaking shoes of staggering genius #1 are made from old bus and tube seat coverings from London. Almost make me miss the schvitzy tube:

Zooey Deschanel glasses made by Oliver Peoples. There's even a napkin-style cleaning cloth. Hard not to love this with all you've got:

Beautiful brogues handmade by Red by Wolves in, yep, London, a city which once had my heart in its entirety:

The Creep's new Slayer Vans. Even the box is joyously well-designed. Slays me:

The new triple-strap maryjane from Melissa and Vivienne Westwood. I feel like Amelie just looking at them:

Shabbat shalom motherbitches, enjoy the fabulous looooong weekend.
