I am in awe. Today's shows so far have completely raised the bar, today Australia has made a dent in the world stage. Rosemount Australian Fashion Week kicked off today with Camilla and Marc kicking off the festivities, and what a way to do it. The show was just fabulous. Think floaty fabrics, block stripes and sheer metallics.
The first internal set conjured up emotions of wispy days among fields of daisies. Lots of nude, which looks great on summer tans. Thrown into the mix were two great structured jackets to add dimension.
The second set was all about 'wow' factor. Block stripes in bright green and tangerine luxe enough to give any women super powers. The prints were in slimline pants, jackets, long singlets and an amazing bandeau dress.
Camilla and Marc delivered a show stopping finale. Every fabric was beyond luxe with a gold metalic sheen. Black silks and leathers thrown into the mix to keep the collection RTW.
Such a beautiful show, such beautiful models and a beautiful ambiance. Camilla and Marc Spring/Summer 2009/10 have set the bar for the rest of the week, and I'm so excited for what is to come. Watch this space!
