What better way to get around this sweaty summer than kick pushing your way through the streets with an overpriced limited edition skate board. The ultimate in hypebeastin’ OriginalFake produce a sweet deck of playing cards that will no doubt not be used for their intended purpose. My guess is that they will be paraded like pieces of art work on walls of streetwear connoisseurs the world over. Dare you to peg them to your fixie’s aerospokes and look like a massive ass tool. RONNIE FIEG X DAVID Z X ASICS GEL LYTE III ‘SUPER RED’
My good mate Ronnie Fieg has blitzed the blogs of late with his one of one Asics samples that have made many a hater shake their fist. He’s garnered a very love/hate relationship with hype heads around the globe, but with his new Asics Gel Lyte III ‘Super Red’ about to drop this month there’s no doubt he’ll have peeps claiming ‘mates rates’ with its extra limited drop of 252 pairs. MARRIED TO THE MOB ‘SUMMER COLLECTION’
My girl Leah McSweeney continues to kill it for the ladies this summer with a steamy collection of summery goodness, all twisted with the MOB touch. The prize in the pudding would have to be the sultry video lookbook featuring porn star Faye Reagan, entitled ‘Runaway Faye’ which I was lucky to get an exclusive preview of last week when I visited MOB’s HQ in NYC. No doubt this season’s inspiration was fuelled by the amazingly sexual 180 degree views of NYC on the 66th floor of the Empire State Building – someone’s def bringing home the bacon yo! No streetwear list would be complete without a touch of Supreme (or as I call it Sup Remi). And no summer is complete without the requisite pair of sunnies to shield your eyes from the burning rays brought about by your own wardrobe. THE HUNDREDS SUMMER SNAP BACKS
As we all know, The Hundreds is perhaps my favourite streetwear label and with the amount of new stock they drop weekly, there’s always something to cop. This summer The Hundreds release a variety of snap back styles, but my faves are always the standard LA Kings-inspired font caps.
