Pulling your overgrown emo side-part out thinking of a present to get your mates this yuletide? Well look no further, mama Muff is here to help you spread your Christmas cheer.
Everyone wants something that no one else has got, and let’s face it, with the way fashion has back-flipped on its ass and turned itself into a time capsule menagerie of yesteryear, it’s time to flip the script and give that extra special someone the ultimate in street cred – their very own sneaker.
No longer just available to VISHs (Very Important Sneaker Heads), rappers, artists or flash-in-the-pan money makers, limited edition personalised kicks are now at Australia’s beck and call. And if you’re southside then you don’t have to go far to cop a piece of your own fame game.
Recently opened at Chadstone Shopping Centre, the adidas Originals store is about three times the size of the Chapel Street layout, with a lot more exclusive product on hand including the illusive ‘MiAdidas’ section.
On display are a menagerie of styles (from Superstar, to Stan Smith, Forum to Gazelles) that you can choose to customize to your own liking, from material swatches, lace colourings, textures and topping it all off with the piece de resistance – the all important name tag. That’s right, you get to personalize these bad boys with your moniker – whether it be your facebook nickname, msn handle or someone you’re tryna bone! Just don’t make it dirty – adidas would not allow Muff Daddy on my shoe, for obvious reasons. The corker in this whole deal is, the shoes don’t run for that much more coin than you would spend on a regular pair, so why rock what everyone else has got when you can pop off in your own work of art?
Each shoe takes approximately three weeks to complete, so your time is a tickin' peoples!
All you gotta do is call up the killer kids at adidas Chadstone on (03) 9530 9845 to make an appointment, or even better, hit up the MiAdidas website and start working on your ideas now. The store itself has a better selection of materials, colourways and options, so if you can, make sure you get down to Chaddy before the Christmas rush.
