UK streetwear guru Carrie Mundane aka
Cassette Playa is back with another smash collection for spring 2010, this time launching her new range in the sweltering humidity of Thailand. If you're down for the CP cause you'll know that Mundane is anything but with a new, fresh approach to each showing - this time hand-picking all her models 24 hours prior to her show, in the streets of Bangkok.
Having worked with
Nike Sportswear for the better half of the noughties, Carrie has executed each collection with a distinct fusion of Aztec palettes and cutting edge themes. With a focus on football (read soccer) the Spring Collection is about to give the Beckham-obsessed sport a new lease of life. Move over faux-hawks and wacky tattoos, Cassette Playa is taking soccer fashion to a new level that will no doubt bring in a new demographic of followers.
Highlighted in the new capsule collection is Carrie's signature Nike Blazer that dropped to rave reviews last year, off set by Cassette Playa bum bags, soccer jerseys, sport zip ups and duffle bags. No date has been set as yet for the release, but if you're down to hit rewind on your walkman, you can try and cop past collections
