It was pretty special watching the optimism pour out of people, TVs and computers during last night's US election, but the one time I physically said "Hey!" was when a CNN reporter interviewing Colin Powell turned out to be former Nightline host Hugh Riminton.



If you're like me, you watched Hugh's refreshingly sense-making brand of journalism as prelude to The Late Show with David Letterman on many of your sleepless weeknights from 2001 to 2004, while you were wondering whether to drop out of your creative writing degree (eventually, you did). So just for a second I'd like to take a break from the Barackulation and give props to the Rimjob. Damn son.
