The Helio Sequence first struck me as one of those sad, whingy bands, able to put together half decent songs, but spoiling them all with an honesty that embarrasses its audience members. Yet, as I made my way through Keep your Eyes Ahead, HS's fourth album, I had to bite my tongue. They're more like my favourite bands than the ones I make fun of.

Two guys from Oregon, on the Sub Pop label, have supported Blonde Redhead and Kings of Leon in the past, first hit the scene with excellent debut Com Plex in 2000, spacey-synthy-indie-rock. But don't waste your time with facts, make it count with THS.
