Monkey see, Children do

Tuesday, October 28, 2008
Humans learn fast.

And not always the right kinds of adaptive behaviours that keep the species going.

Most research shows that between birth and 7 or 8 years is an important imprint period in a child’s development.

After that, our habits of thought and action become ingrained and change becomes more difficult to achieve.

Although we know know that the human brain is not as hardwired as once thought and the brain much more plastic, the extent to which we can change our behaviours is unknown.

Best, me thinks, just to be careful with the chilluns.

I believe the children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way… Whitney does, don’t you?
