If I were a boy I would live in
Loden Dager, their colour palettes and cuts would make it very easy for me to do so. Luckily for me I can live vicariously though the look books and the proximity of my workspace to the label.
Loden Dager is a New York based collective who are made up of Design Directors Paul Marlow and Oliver Helden, and Communications Director Alexander Galan. Paul and Oliver met while working at
Marc Jacobs, where Oliver still holds the position there as Director of Men's Technical Design while Alexander Galan has a background in art book publishing. Alex Paul is also part of the Loden Dager family and helps keep things running smoothly day to day in the studio and offers some general fun, light relief and humor around the place.
"The brand’s heritage is rooted in the sartorial idea of the intellectual workingman as a new archetype born of massive social change. Key references have ranged from the futurist movement of the 1920s, the masculine rigidity of the 1940s, the mod Sixties, the utopian hippie dream of the 1970s and the techno fabrications of the new millennium. Loden Dager is dedicated to making inspired, relevant menswear for the contemporary artist, leader, student, and everyman."
The label is stocked at high profile boutiques including Barney’s, Opening Ceremony, Nordstrom, and Saks Fifth Avenue and is now available in Sydney, Australia at
Icarus.
The Loden Dager guys not only produce a beautiful line but are also all great, lovely and are wonderful people to be studio neighbors with.
