Inspired by a spate of cool evenings, I’ve gone on the hunt for the perfect winter outerwear. Armed with the convenience of layby and the luxury of online shopping, I’ve shortlisted a few of my winter must have favourites… 

One of my favourite things about winter is the quest for the perfect investment coat- the perfectly crafted, timelessly beautiful, comfortably warm piece that I can wear season after season. For the coming winter, my heart has been sloten by Arnsdorf’s wool coat, pictured here in ox blood but also available in autumnal shades of nude and black. If I had more money to spend, I’d also add this sweet powder blue Therese Rawsthorne coat to my winter collection. s

Every girl needs a blazer, no matter what season, and I’ve found that a good fit, uniqueness and quality are the key traits that give a blazer wardrobe longevity. Being intensely inspired by sorbet colours for winter, I’ve been eyeing off this printed blazer by Karla Spetic, a statement piece with a romantic, girlie twist. Opening Ceremony have released a range of printed boxy blazers (and matching skirts) that are making me go jelly at the knees. 

For wet city days spent having laneway coffees or running the myriad errands that occupy our day, or when you need that perfect windbreaker for misty drives to windy beaches where bellies are filled with warm fish’n’chips, a good parker is a must have. I love this utilitarian trench by Harmon. 

It’s pretty hard to say no to denim sometimes, and with the recent revival of all things 90s- and strangely enough, denim on denim- this House of Holland jacket is perfect for street glamour.  I‘m so impressed I’m contemplating the matching skirt too!
