Why are girls so down on the emo

Friday, May 09, 2008
So hi! I'm Easy on the Emo, your friendly Vine blogger on all things Emo. I say you just can't get enough emotion in your life. So in my blog, I look forward to to discussing all of the brilliant, and horrible things that filling your life with emotion entails.

My first topic - why are non-emo girls so hard on the emo?

A friendly, hard-working emo (I work in a gallery, finished my art degree) like myself has a hard time up here on the Gold Coast. If you're not all blonde and fluro, girls just seem to drift on by. Sucks!
What gives? It's not just me, my survey of emo blokes I know came up with the same story.

Girls are all like - cut your hair, why don't you get a tan, (Der, it's like cancer causing) and can't you just cheer up?

I don't get it, so do you? Girls are meant to be all emotional and teary and giggly and you know, girly. But it always seems that the delivery truck of emotion dropped it's load on me before it hit their house. It blows.

Do I have to hide my emotion, have to become some kind of hard-ass with no feelings who never talks to their mates about how they feel and ends up crying every night after I get home from working on a building site? The whole point about emo, is that you're meant to be in touch. But somehow it doesn't translate into lady company. Well, not on the Gold Coast anyhow.

Maybe I have to move to the cooler states where black and feelings are the fashion?

Until next time, stay emo.

Emotion overkill

You can't get too much emotion.
