The muched love designers of today's society are pushing the limits of fashion- which are already at sky's height. Are the loaded customers of such brands buying becuase of style or just the fact that it is an expensive brand? Obviously, it is the second option.
Marc Jacob's 'Hobo Bag' lives up to its name, but not its price tag of nearly $500. Chanel's ugly suits are just as hurrendous, although costing a little more- up to $20 000. It might just be me, but who on Earth would pay those vasts amounts of money on ugly designer clothes, when that money could be better spent on something worth it, like supporting the earthquake victims in China.
As catwalk designs are growing uglier and the prices are increasing, as a consumer, I am beginning to get confused. Why? Because I just don't understand why people pay vast dollars for clothes that seriously arent a fashion statement. The style isn't 'cool', but the brand it. To me, that is stupid.
Many of my friends have fallen in this trap, with me being to embarassed to go out in public with them! Although this is the case, it is probably the same vice-versa, with them probably to embarassed as I do not have such designer clother. This is wrong. Full Stop.
