Vogue Russia is celebrating their 10 year anniversary. Instead of just wearing extravagant fur coats and drinking some vodka to commemorate the occasion they've gone and got some of fashion’s biggest names to
design a Babushka doll aka a
"Matrioshka". Cutest idea ever.
Each designer had their sketches realized by Russian craftsmen, who hand-painted the 50 centimeter dolls. “Every Matrioshka is unique and a piece of art in itself,” said Aliona Doletskaya, Russian Vogue’s editor-in-chief. “Installation, sculpture, object d’art - you can call it however you wish.”
The traditional Russian dolls will be auctioned for charity on November 20.
In other news, I will be celebrating my 23rd birthday anniversary on Saturday. I thought you should know.
