It seems someone is trying extremely hard to be controversial and that someone is
Ginnifer Goodwin, in the new issue of
W magazine.
It's all about leather, Falke hosiery, silk bras, nakey men, cuffs, boots and black.
The shots aren't that great, they are however Steven Klein's usual style (aka a bit predictable and not entirely as shocking as he might like it to be). According to W, "
Sweet, innocent, bubbly—actress Ginnifer Goodwin knows exactly what you think of her. Now she wants you to forget it."
Sadly, this isn't too hard for most people to do. It seems a lot of folk have little to no idea who she is, or what she's done. The reviews (within fashion forums ie VERY REPUTABLE) haven't gone down very well either. Most agree that she looks uncomfortable and is 'just not that in to it'. (That was a pun relating to her last film).
One forum go-er announced, "
Poor Ginnifer! She probably walked onto set expecting some cutesy, girly shoot, and then they threw her in full out bondage gear and asked her to try to be sexy. Her confusion and uncomfortableness just POURS from her face. I really don't understand why magazines take these actresses and try to use them as models. It totally defeats the purpose. How is Ginnifer supposed to promote herself as an actress and as a personality if she isn't even her real self on the magazine! And not even CLOSE. W apparently just wanted a shocking reaction. Why else would they choose the goody-two-shoes-iest of all Hollywood actresses and attempt to turn her into a sleazy, trashy dominatrix? Poorly done and UNimpressive!"
Unfortunately it seems the male models have their own thing going on and have forgotten about Goodwin too.
