Shane MacGowan (Former Pogues frontman and the composer of Britain's favourite alternate Christmas anthem, "A Fairytale of New York") has posted the video for his Haiti benefit single (released March 8), a cover of Screamin' Jay Hawkins' 1956 hit "I Put A Spell On You".

Organised by MacGowan and his girlfriend, writer Victoria Clarke, "All proceeds go to Concern, a charity who have provided assistance to some of the poorest countries in the world including Haiti, even before the earthquake struck."

Starring Nick Cave, The Clash's Mick Jones (who also produced), Chrissie Hynde, Paloma Faith, Primal Scream's Bobby Gillespie and Johnny Depp on guitar, it's as if the heavy smokers and drinkers amongst the "We Are The World" musicians suddenly downed tools and escaped to a boozy after-hours session down the local pub. If Simon Cowell's "Everybody Hurts" extinguished any charitable impulse you may of had, this gravely shout-athon could just rekindle it, unless the Chile quake is now taking up all of your attention that is.
