Pussycat Dolls Are A Man Down

Friday, August 22, 2008
The BBC is always ready for the moment a major royal bites the dust. And so it should have been for this sad day.

The UK's Sun newspaper is reporting that the red-headed Pussycat Doll, so fondly remembered as 'she-man', 'the tranny', 'him', etc, is leaving to follow her own dream.

They reported the shocking news thus...
"The original member of the all-girl group is set to join The Zodiac Show.

The singer is set to launch the one-hour live event on September 9.

It will be a mix of music, celebrity and multi-faceted new talent described by Bachar as "a rock 'n' roll version of Cirque Du Soleil."

The sexy star said: "I will truly miss the girls but this has been a vision of mine for the last seven years and it's finally going to the big screen. It is the evolution of music, theatre and performance.""

So there it is. I now have no reason to watch the world's leading high-kicking high priestesses of pop perform their unique brand of pseudo-burlesque.

As if to place the final nail in the coffin, a quick browse on youtube some exhaustive reporting uncovered this seemingly definitive answer to one of pop's enduring mysteries... is she a he?

Apparently not.

:-(

R.I.P. Carmen. Thanks for the memories.
