Are Oasis secretly hoping to be immortalized on film?

The Gallagher brothers just rounded off the BBC's Electric Proms festival at Camden's Roundhouse.

James Bond himself, fellow northerner Daniel Craig, blagged a ticket, so Noel let his feelings be known on the "Quantum of Solace" theme song...

"James Bond is upstairs, I might see if I can blag it so that he can get me the next James Bond theme tune instead of fucking dopey Americans doing it all the time."

Some might say... bitter?

Don't worry, Noel, the Japanese still love you. They've used "Shock of the Lightning" in a trailer for "K-20: Legend Of The Mask".

The song doesn't do much before it's quickly yanked in favour of some good old fashioned strings.

But hey, it's money, and the movie looks like "dopey" fun.

Director and star Takeshi Kaneshiro plays a circus acrobat, framed by a mysterious man who can change his appearance at will.

Didn't Liam try to do that in March?

* The Roundhouse makes an appearance at the end of H.G. Wells's "War of the Worlds", fact fans. It was being used as a wine warehouse when the Martians attacked.

Perhaps Oasis had this in mind when they performed "Champagne Supernova" there on Sunday night. Hence the "celestial choir", obviously...
