Love this. Superhero fantasy melts impressively into gritty reality under the inspired direction of directing duo Ewan Jones Morris and Casey Redmond. And New York singer John Grant possibly deserves a TV series based on this performance. "Chicken Bones" comes from his solo debut album Queen of Denmark...

"The Bike Song" video from Mark Ronson (ft. Kyle Falconer and Spankrock) picks up nicely where "Bang Bang" left off, thankfully, so I get to hear that beautiful 70's sound effect again. Monkey Magic? Whatever it is, give it an award...

British R&B in the 80's consisted of Five Star. They were thrillingly ahead of their time at peddling anodyne American sounding R&B to impressionable British young girls (and budding gayers like myself). They were also tainted by scandals, hence good pop stars. Now we have the likes of Taio Cruz and writer/performer Talay Riley. Less laughable (perhaps) but as fascinatingly creepy? Like Five Star, "Humanoid" teeters on the edge of complete shit but has enough going on to make it almost lovable, like a selfish root if you will. It's not always pretty but it gets the job done...

This is quite distressing, but it looks amazing; it is "The Drug" from Royksopp's "Autumnal" sounding new album Senior. I had a t-shirt with my name spray-painted in cholo font on it at the Mexican market in downtown LA years ago and it ruled. Wish I knew what happened to it. Directing duo That Go just brought it all flooding painfully back. Luckily it all looks very Pop Magazine. Thanks P4k...
