Elly Jackson - aka La Roux - aka "The Red Haired One" - sounds like she's had the same dream.

Picking up where the likes of Yazoo dropped off (she cried at their one-off gig last year) "Quicksand" is released December 15th on Kitsune (with a remix by AutoKratz), and has spawned this impressively Eighties style video, courtesy of director Kinga Burza.



Flashdance hair flick? Check!

Flock of Seagulls fringe? Check!

A giant pineapple? Check!

And yet, like her music, it doesn't come across as cheap. Cheaply made perhaps, but with taste.
