If anyone felt sorry for
The Kills lead singer, Allison Mosshart, for being completely overshadowed by her bandmate's choice of girlfriend, a certain Kate Moss, then you can stop now.
Jack White has formed yet another band,
The Dead Weather, featuring a lucky Mosshart on vocals, Dean Fertita of Queens of the Stone Age on guitar, and Jack
Lawrence from The Raconteurs on bass.
White debuted the band in Nashville on Wednesday night, and an album -
Horehound - will be out in June.
The single, "Hang You From the Heavens", is on iTunes already and sounds just as you expect it to.
But there is a cover of Gary Numan's "Are Friends Electric?" on the b-side, in case the shock of the new is too much for you.
If all that rock posturing has left you a tad underwhelmed, then here's a cheap laugh at
Duffy's expense. The Welsh Warbler has made a bit of a laughing stock of herself by starring and a HORRIBLE new Diet Coke commercial.
Hurrah!
But there is no 'Diet Coke Hunk' to speak of.
Boo!
Still, it's worth a laugh. And if you have the stomach for it, stay tuned for the Making Of in which Duffy bullshits about women being in control and that's so Diet Pepsi, or some such bollocks...
