RAFW show wrap six - Friedrich Gray

How will the goths subvert the dominant paradigm now that paradigm is goth?

Friedrich Gray delivered a blow to the children of the night, taking hold of their style and turning it into haute Matrix madness. His sexy, dark on dark SS09 collection would make Trent Reznor, Marilyn Manson and Rammstein giggle and clap. David Lynch is bound to call up for styling and costuming for his next debauched mysoginist noir rambling.

Slinky Aryan models and one very hungry Asian girl slinked out of unpredictable entrances to surround the crushed in crowd of Gray hungry journos and fashion fiends. Gray showed layers on layers of asymetrically cut knits, hoods and more hoods, soft un-hemmed leather, sheer gauze shell tops and smatters of tie-dye. The collection was cohesive, hyper-professional and puts Friedrich at the helm of the new goth-chic that we have seen from other designers here, and at LMFF.

I can already see saucy young Asian boys and girls rocking this whole range on hot nights on Honkers.
