Akira Isogawa, the beyond-fashion genius, closed RAFW with a colourful bang last Friday night.
Using the whole gamut of textile techniques, including sashiko, masses of fabric origami, beading, smocking and jacquard, Isogawa worked form one end of the rainbow to the other to deliver his incredible creations.
After thirteen shows a day for five days, most were too exhausted to consider one more show. But as always, Isogawa delivered something definitely worth seeing.
While many of the gowns will be impossible to wear off the red carpet, he did deliver a few maxi dresses, belts, bags and shawls that could be incorporated into the mere mortal's wardrobe. If you can afford it that is.
